Please visit this page often as it will be updated as customers have questions. FAQs Q:Will there be a Dive Master on board? A: There will not be a Dive Master on board unless requested by the charter. There will be at least one mate to assist with on and off the boat boarding, help with fins, lines, etc. All of the dives on the Under Pressure schedule are to a minimum of 80ft, most are to 100ft plus. Which is an advanced dive, no OW1 dives are on the schedule but if that is the dives the party wishes to do I will take them there. Q: What is the deepest depth that you will allow air dives? A: I will allow air to 140ft. The very max will be 160ft unless you are a Gary Gentile or equal, then we will talk about it. Q: Will you be serving hot dogs or other such food on your day trips? A: Yes we will have hotdogs for lunch on the day trips on deluxe and open trips. Q: Can recreational divers go on the boat? A: The boat is open to all divers with the exception of OW1 students. There are a number of dives for recreational divers, this is where technical divers should hone their skills and check out dives are done. Q: Do you take divers that come without a dive buddy? A: Yes I do if the trip is not to a deep depth and we should be able to buddy you with someone if needed, if the site is to a deep depth (past 130ft) then your experience is taken into consideration if you ask to dive solo. Q:"I understand you will need a waiver from each diver, but are you just providing basic transportation on charters like this one, or are you laying down diving laws for each diver as well?" A: Basically the rules
stay the same, no deep air and I like buddy diving. I have never been
real hard on anyone, those 2 things I do believe in. I will even let solo
if it starts out that way....not done half way through the dive and no
penetration is involved.... only those 2 things need be understood. Basicly
safety is a concern, my thinking has been formed by seeing things that
divers have done and then been saved by having a buddy. Standard wavier
stuff nothing hard. If you don't have some rules for diving then you will
have nothing but chaos.
